Reaction to CarryMinati's roast. Tiktok vs YouTube

Recently my quora notifications are filled with requests on writing about my opinion about CarryMinati's roast on Tiktok . I am overwhelmed, people want to listen to my opinion. I mean it's  not like people just randomly send requests , par muhje toh celebrity wali feeling leni hai. Toh Chalo yaar , like others , hum bhi Carry ke naam par views lete hai.

Before we get into the actual topic let us discuss a little about CarryMinati. I am not a fan of him but I admire the commitment to his work.

 As we all know that CarryMinati is amongst the best roasters in the country. He definitely has worked his way up. He has always put in lot of effort in his videos. The thing I really like about CarryMinati is that he is not afraid to try different things. He did receive a lot of criticizism for the songs he made but that didn't stop him from making more. And I am extremely happy with his decision because he should try different fields of art to explore and learn. To be honest I quite liked his songs except the most recent one.

 Also one thing I have noticed people say about Carry is that there is no point watching his videos because one gets no knowledge out of it. 

This point is so invalid. There is a concept called no brainer or pure entertainment. Not everything is loaded with knowledge or wisdom.  There are enough videos on YouTube which cater to that category. 

Second thing people say is that he only abuses in his videos which again is untrue. Yes, I totally agree that there are some famous YouTuber who just abuse to be funny (you can check out my blog on that ) and I do not approve of it. However, CarryMinati has a well written script and then he uses the abuses to emphasize his point. He is roasting the other person ,the gaali comes out as frustration and not a desperate attempt to be funny. 

If you take a close look at Carry's content you will see that most of his roasts are on people who crave publicity be it Rakhi Sawant , Deepak Kalal, Rocky, Dinchak Pooja or some Tiktokers from Pakistan. These people created content which was worth  being roasted.

I don't even understand how can these two platforms be compared. YouTube consumes  a lot of time and effort of a creator. To become a YouTube star the creator has to be persistent with his content. He /she has to continouously produce quality Content whereas Tiktok requires very little effort by the creator. I am not saying that anyone can become a Tiktok star but still it requires considerably very little effort compared to YouTube. 

Okay with that that's talk about CarryMinati's roast .

I have watched that video a couple of time and I  think it's absolutely funny. It is evident that Ajey has done a through research on Amir. 

The jokes and punch lines were well thought out. The delivery of the jokes was on point. The editing was as good as all if his other videos.

Carry listened to each point from the counter argument (the argument from Amir was quite weak in my opinion) and came up with hilarious replies .

Another thing which worked well was the anger and the energy he had throughout the video. 

What I didn't like about the video was Ajey calling Amir "beti" . Bro it's not quite right. The body shaming point put forward by him was quite lame .

 While it was a hilarious roast I wouldn't say that it was the best reply. Which is okay. I prefer the way Saiman Says, Dank Rishu and Sunraybe responded.
